Herniated & Bulging Discs
Herniated, Bulging and Slipped Discs | Diagnosis and Treatment | Chiropractic Adjustments
Your spinal cord is an amazing biological phenomenon, with intricate nerve pathways that control pain and motor functions throughout your body. Because of the importance of your vertebrae to your overall health, you have discs between each one, acting as a shock absorber, but also providing flexibility. Occasionally, as the result of an accident, overuse or deterioration, your discs can be compromised. When that happens, you can expect to experience significant pain and discomfort. There’s good news, though—chiropractic treatment can help alleviate the problems associated with a slipped, herniated, bulging or ruptured disc.
At Premier Health Center, with offices in Arlington, Texas, we have provided effective treatment to minimize and manage pain for men and women in and around the Dallas-Fort Worth area for more than 20 years. We are proud of our consistent and comprehensive approach—with our extensive experience, we know what works and can develop and implement a thorough plan to address any injuries or health issues you have, including any disc issues. We know that injuries can take a mental and emotional toll and strive to create an easygoing environment at our offices, where you can relax as you move toward wellness. You won’t waste a lot of time in our waiting room, either—we conscientiously schedule our appointments so that you’re in and out in a timely manner.
Our Treatment of Disc Problems
Herniated disc…bulging disc…ruptured disc…slipped disc…it’s all essentially the same thing—the pressure from your spine has forced some of the cushioning material out of the disc, so that your vertebrae are not providing the necessary protection. We’ll take a close look at your medical history and use x-rays and MRI’s to diagnose your condition. We have a number of treatment options, from spinal adjustments and spinal decompression therapy to massage or therapeutic exercises.
